The Iberian pig is a unique animal which lives only on the Iberian Peninsula. In Spain it is found mostly in the provinces of Badajoz, Cácerez, Córdoba, Huelva, Sevilla, Ciudad Real, Toledo and Salamanca.
The Iberian pig is raised in a semi-wild state in open, following a controlled, traditional diet of herbs and roots from the earth, which gives its meat an excellent, natural aroma, as well as a fine taste and texture.
